You would need to take out any hair clips, but I don't use oils so your hair is not messed up by the end of the treatment, it just falls back into place. A treatment starts with massaging the back, upper arms, neck, head and face.

Indian Head Massage has been practised in India for over 1000 years and is part of the Ayurvedic tradition. The treatment comes from a tradition of family grooming. The techniques involved have been passed down from generation to generation following two paths of development: women developed one part of the treatment to keep their hair strong whilst barbers (Men) developed the other half to invigorate the scalp and head.

Both techniques along with other massage techniques have now been combined to make up the modern version of Indian Head Massage. The treatment works on the top three chakras, crown, brow and throat.

Like Reflexology, Indian Head Massage does not claim to diagnose or cure. Instead, it promotes the mental and physical conditions necessary to foster positive good health and prevent ill health, so it's insurance against your future health and wellbeing.

Upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck are all massaged, then the head with many different techniques, followed by a facial massage. it is an ideal therapy to have in the workplace as in just 20 minutes you can go from highly stressed to very calm and relaxed - it's magic!
